VT-DRIVE
TRANSMISSION

The VT-Drive transmission is a continuously variable transmission (CVT) developed by McCormick that provides an infinite number of speed ratios from zero to the maximum speed permitted in the country of use.

TELEMATIC SYSTEMS

The ISOBUS system meeting the ISO-11783 standard allows the operator to control the implements without having to install a dedicated control unit inside the cab. The system utilizes the tractor CANBUS network and allows the operator to manage the implement operating parameters and performance via a dedicated menu in the DSM monitor.
The ISOBUS system allows communication between tractor, implement and on-board computer by synchronizing the data exchange for improved operating efficiency.

HUMAN FACTOR

It is called “The Human factor” because it focuses on the Man, the operator who drives the tractor. “The Human factor” is new software developed by Argo Tractors in co-operation with Università Politecnico di Milano and exhibited in the EIMA Service Center as a 2016 Technical Innovation.

Mechanical machining
department

14 latest generation machining centers have been installed over the past few years, to be used for machining iron castings. The Japanese company Mazak is one of the world’s major manufacturers of this type of machine. Another two devices have been installed in the last few weeks, introducing innovative systems such as:

a)Multipallet infeed
b)ultra-fast axes transfer and tool change speeds
c)less than one-hundredth of a millimeter positioning accuracy.

The more complex parts are machined for even more than three hours using two clamping fixtures and over 120 different tools.
