Argo Tractors reveals its new products, projects and development strategies to the press at Agritechnica

The Argo Tractors Press Conference went off with great success last 12 November at the end of the first day of Agritechnica 2017, before an audience of 100 reporters from the international specialized press. It was an important opportunity to present the new products, but also to speak of results, strategies and future projects.

After a brief welcoming speech by Tanja Baering, General Manager Argo GmbH, the German-Austrian branch, Antonio Salvaterra, the Marketing Director of Argo Tractors, focused on the development of new products and also announced the global agreement soon to be signed with Topcon Agriculture concerning the installation of GPS systems in all the Landini and McCormick tractor ranges.

The Marketing Director then proceeded to describe the characteristics of the new McCormick ranges, especially the X5 Series with its new cab and transmission, the new X6 Series, the X6.4 VT-Drive (winner of the Tractor of the Year 2018 award in the Best Utility category), X7 P6-Drive, VT-Drive and lastly, the X8 VT-Drive model. “The innovations we’re presenting, affirmed Salvaterra, are the successful conclusion to a long period of activity in the Argo Tractors Research & Development division and to the commitment and dedication of the women and men who work daily with passion and competence towards the creation of complete ranges of reliable, highly technological tractors”.

After this, Franco Artoni, Business Development Manager – Global Marketing and Parts, brought the participants up to date on Argo 4.0: a key project that focuses on Digital Transformation, “an initiative for which Argo Tractors is dedicating important investments for the purpose of introducing high-tech instruments to develop our sales networks and enhance our customer assistance performance. This project also includes the recent agreement with Granit, which will facilitate the work of the sales network thanks to leading-edge services and top-level customer-care”.

Corporate Business Director Simeone Morra completed the presentation of the current scenario with an overview of the Group’s strategies and the market, pointing to a growing presence in Africa, Central America, Oceania, consolidated positions throughout the whole of Europe and confirming the excellent performance in Turkey, which will be strengthened by the strategic Joint Venture between Landini and Anadolu Motor. “Ours is an important, rapidly growing family-owned group of international standing. We have an excellent product range and constantly invest in both products and production processes. We’re looking for dealers and customers who share our values and want to be entrepreneurs who are free to continue developing their businesses,” declared Morra. “Upgrading the assembly lines and implementation of digital tools in the sales networks to modernize and enhance the efficiency of our dealings with our customers are actions that will allow us to strengthen the image of Argo Tractors and its brands even further. This will certainly lead to benefits as to sales volumes but will especially increase the satisfaction of long-standing customers and help us to acquire new ones”.

The press conference concluded with a brief video about the next Xtractor South Africa 2018 expedition, a pioneering marketing tool to publicize the McCormick brand worldwide thanks to an exclusive format, in collaboration with BKT tires and Id-Entity.
